My partner found this little item while perusing the Hammacher Schlemmer catalog (though it looks like Gizmodo beat me to the punch on this post)

This mousepad is also a drum set - albeit a much smaller version and not nearly as loud as the real thing. This finger drum pad provides 8 different percussion sounds including snare, bass, a floor tom, two rack toms (ooh love those), hi-htat, crash and ride cymbals using ONLY your fingers. There is a demo mode to teach you how to use it with some preset percussion patterns and then you are on your own to create and then record up to 30 tracks.
Take that John Bonham- well maybe not! There are separate volume and tempo controls so that you can keep this under wraps till you can become the rock & roll star of your own cubicle. Don't fret, it's really affordable at $39.95. Definitely gift worthy for birthdays, bachelor parties and also Christmas gifts!! (perfect for the boss!)
