Black Summer Crush Song Picked Up as Theme for Pontiac Commercials!

Black Summer Crush- an emerging rock and roll band out of the OC (read Orange County- like Laguna Beach, The Hills, Newport Harbor tv shows) has been selected by GM brand PONTIAC cars to be the feature song for one of their car commercials.



This band lead by guitarist Scott Holiday and fronted by Thomas Flowers (ex-Oleander singer) have a unique sound of rock and roll that throbs and yet has it's soft moments. Interesting melodic threads and smokin' guitar work from Holiday along with Bassist Robin Everhart create a audtiory journey backed up by Mike Miley (formerly of Veruca Salt and has toured with Josh Kelley most recently). Recently they wrapped their album on EMI entitled (appropriately), The Black Summer Crush.

I had a chance to meet the guys during a green screen video session and interview them them all and talk to them about their music and their sound. It's tight, hot and definitely got the rhythm down. When I have the podcast - and video- ready, I will post it for you!
