BMW's Alternative Fuel Vehicle Gains Celeb Support!

Jay Leno, Bob Geldof and Anna Netrebko are supporting BMW's alternative fuel vehicle, the BMW Hydrogen 7, as the car combines both luxury and environmental protection.
BMW Hydrogen 7, the first hydrogen-powered luxury car, comes equipped with an internal combustion dual power 260hp 12-cylinder engine, which can switch from running conventional fuel to liquid hydrogen (emitting nothing more than water vapour). This hydrogen technology development is part of the BMW Group's CleanEnergy strategy, which serves to fulfill current and future demand for individual mobility without the use of fossil fuels. Given the price of gasoline in the US and in Europe, this sounds like a pretty nifty car.

The operative question would be when this vehicle would be on the market for general distribution- because if it works half as well as they indicate, it would be a huge improvement for our environment and the global economy would have a major shift due to decreased demand for gasoline.
