Head to off-season Provincetown, Massachusetts, where the population balloons in the summer but settles down when things get cold. This summertime resort area attracts a wide variety of down-to-earth visitors who are into alternative lifestyles and opend-mindedness, which means that attractions boast a little something for everyone. Plus, it's just a hop from Boston by ferry.
