Disturbia and Shia LeBouf Make a GREAT DVD!!

One of the hottest movies of 2007 that had a "flying under the radar buzz" was Disturbia with
Shia LeBeouf. While doing press junkets galore (why wasn't I invited? I would have loved to meet this guy. I have watched almost every movie he's been in), he was featured as the next young leading man based on his performance in this very disturbing, scary and even funny movie that will appeal to agest 12 to everyone over 12.

Disturbia and Shia LeBouf Make a GREAT DVD!!

kalelinks (Shia LaBeouf) has a life most teenagers think they would envy. He spends his days endlessly playing video games, surfing the net, eating junk food and watching cable (till mom cuts the cord). What's wrong with this "picture"? Kale is under court-ordered house arrest for three months, and if he goes beyond the 100-foot perimeter of his home, his next residence will be in PRISON- and they don't have cable, microwaves or video games.

What did he do? Why did he end up in house arrest? Why did mom cut the cord? LOTS of back story and don't miss a minute of this HOT DVD because it's a thriller, chiller and a great movie.

Now stir crazy in his own house while his mother works day and night, Kale starts to focus on the world outside. (Can you see hints of Afred Hithcock here?) . With his secondhand surveillance equipment, he (and his buddy) begins spying on his neighbors, first Ashley-the hot chick next door- who figures out what he's doing but gets involved in the hobby this "game" becomes deadly serious when Kale and Ashley witness suspicious behavior by one of their neighbors (David Morse) may be an elusive serial killer. But who's going to believe them? It may just be their overactive imagination. Or they may have stumbled across a secret that might cost them their lives.

The answer is- really what's real and what's Kale's overactive imagination. Is this "Desperate Housewives" or is this a real homage to Hitchcock's thrillers. LeBeouf delivers a perfect sense of teenager frustration. He's a great leading man and has serious charisma but don't forget the supporting cast of Sarah Roemer, Carrie-Anne Moss, David Morse and other actors. The screenplay is taut and still retains its sense of humor. So sit down and relax, make sure you have the remote to hit pause because even running for a refill can be missing a vital scene.
Worth watching twice imho.. BUY THIS!!
