Five Finger Shoes

Hm, I remember when I saw these socks with the five toes the first time – they seemed odd to me. And now these "shoes"…..
They look very light and comfortable for the summer. On the other side I do not see myself running with these thingys over gravel.
Well the Five Fingers feature indeed is a new shoe technology, like the Nike Free 5.0. This allows the wearer to have the protection of shoes with the added muscular benefits that barefoot activities bring.
Five Finger says the following:
- Gently spreads your toes to strengthen foot muscles, increase range of motion, and improve general foot health.
- Stimulates muscles in the feet and lower legs for greater balance, agility and strength.
- Helps straighten your spine, improves posture, and reduces lower back pain.
Interesting – maybe I will try them on…

I’ve been running with the FiveFingers Sprint for a few weeks now, and I keep asking myself how . . . how is it that I feel lighter on my feet? How is it that I run a little faster, a little farther, with a little less effort? How is it that I enjoy running so much more than with a uni-toe running shoe?

They remind me of those rainbow socks that people used to wear in the 1970\’s. Come to think of it, they had toes too!! Flashback.

Anything, frankly, that gets people up and moving is a good thing. They actually promote a lot of running and training regimens in alcohol addiction treatment programs to keep the mind and body fit.
