I read as much email as the next person- probably more since I have a gazillion email accounts scattered like a galaxy of stars across the internet. However when one is looking for something unique for this blog, sometimes you find great stuff easily and sometimes you find something really different/strange/unique bordering on the bizarre because it sounds almost too good to be true or it just sounds plain bizarre. What this sounds like to you- is entirely up to you- but do let me know your thoughts!

Equinox Spa (from equinox Fitness Centers) has launched an enticing new treatment that if it really delivers all that it says it does, it will be booked out fast.
Here's what it it. Body Melt is supposed to be world famous and highly affective. It uses a patented blend of galvanic and faradic stimulation (read electrical but not enough to kill you or give you a "thrill" along with specialized products to provide immediate loss of inches and improve both skin and muscle tone. (hmmm.. my abs are good but the skin.. that's another story. Might be good for post baby and cellulite).
There are two treatments available:
Six-Pack Stomach for intense abdominals (sounds like a good one for me)
Sweet Caboose for gluts and hamstrings.
Definitely worth looking into- if you do, please let me know what you think.

I've tried a product similar to this before in the past and it didn't really do much for me. Without the gel that came with it the product was just downright unbearable. I'm talking about one of those belts you were around your waist that zaps you every second to build up your abs. I'm sure products like this can produce some sort of result for those of us who hate working out, myself included, but that has more to do with the fact you are moving about because you are being shocked than anything. By the way the link doesn't work anymore for the product.

I think that things like this prove just how lazy we are. We don't want to exercise so we will put our selves through a shock like therapy. Things like this will most likely produce some form of a change but what permanent results could possibly come from this.
