HOLLY is set in Cambodia and follows an American played by Ron Livingston- and is based on the true life experiences of Guy Jacobson who vacationed in Cambodia in 2002. This vacation exposed him to the world of child prostitution and he returned to the US determined to do something. The events and situations that Jacobsen had while on that vacation were recreated in this movie, Holly . This is a powerful movie that explains the economics of child prostitution in Southeast Asia- not just Cambodia but all over that region- and how prevalent it is and how many children are kidnapped or sold into slavery. Slavery exists today and it is Jacobson's dream to use this film to motivate, push, chide and instigate change in hearts of people in the US and around the world to change this deplorable situation.
