Knitting is a popular hobby these days- for men and women. It's relaxing, focused and soothing. You can't concentrate on anything BUT the knitting and the pattern. The repetitive click of the needles makes you feel so great.
But knitting scarves, socks, booties and blankets is downright boring
Chronicle Books has released a challenging but fun book, Pretty in Punk.
This nifty book retails for about $20 and was created/written by Alyce Benevides and Jacqueline Milles (and photos by Rob Benevides) , designers who have created a ton of different fashions and headewear for celebs including Madonna, Michael Stipe and even some of the participants in Project Runway.

The cool part is the array of designs you can create with this book. It's definitely NOT your normal knitting project!!

Wait till you see the goth GIRL project!!! Wow- now that's cool.
For someone into knitting, a teen or college kid, even someone who has everything, this might be a nifty gift. You can buy it at Chronicle Books .
