Prosecuting Michael Vick- You Can Thank the Federal Prosecutors in the DogFighting Case Against Michael Vick

Michael Vick has just plead guilty to federal dog fighting charges. What drove this leading NFL quarterback to engage in illegal behavior- dogfighting- is beyond the comprehension of most people in the US. What's even more horrific is that he (and others) tortured the "underachieving" (meaning less than super aggressive) dogs to death via drowning, beating and electrocution.




Just the thought of it makes me shudder in disbelief that Vick was revered as a star athlete. Now the NFL has banned him. The Atlanta Falcons and Nike are suing him for the money paid in advance for endorsements and signing with the team. Plus he has ONLY one year to serve in federal prison. While Vick states below that he will redeem himself, it sounds like way too little and way too late.
