Stretto Collection Makes Handling Fine Wine a Easy and Chic!

If you are a wine fan, you probably have a great collection and you want the right accessories to make it look great when serving it at the table and also help make the wine easier to drink by settling sediment and allowing the wine to breathe- which allows the flavors (particularly red wine) to open up and blossom. Arthur Tabrizi, a renowned furniture maker and designer, realized the lack of wine accessories that are both functional but also beautiful and add to the ambience of the wine and food experience. He created a collection of wine accessories called the Stretto Collection.

The Stretto is a skillfully designed cradle that displays a prized bottle of wine at the optimum angle for settling sediment, opening the bottle, letting the wine breathe and pouring. The Stretto comes in 3 models, each crafted by hand from the finest woods and luxuriously finished with obsessive attention to detail.

The Esotico ($475) is a slightly racy version of the Stretto, using genuine Lamborghini colors to create a stylish look. Tabrizi used the exact automotive paints specified by Lamborghini to make these bold and vibrant pieces. The base gleams with electrifying color (nine different options), while the wine cradles are made with polished walnut, except for a version made with a lighter poplar wood to complement white wines. The process by which the Esotico is painted is very delicate and involved. Akin to painting mini sports cars, it requires a very steady and experienced hand.

The Bello ($725) is made from rare and distinctive figured wood that is micro polished to a lustrous high gloss to showcase the detailed character of the wood grain. Each Bello is made from two pieces of solid wood that come from the same log, to ensure a perfect match. They are protected with a clear polyester finish, which allows the owner to use the Stretto indefinitely. The Bello comes in a choice of beautiful walnut, figured maple, cherry or lace wood, and each is completed with a Swarovski crystal.

The coup de grace of the Stretto collection is the Raro (from $2,500). Made from the rarest of woods and hand-crafted to fit the customer's specifications, the Raro must be specially ordered, because it requires Tabrizi to understand the needs and preferences of the buyer. Tabrizi offers Raro customers the opportunity to visit his Las Vegas atelier, chose the wood from which they want the piece made, and sit down for a glass of wine to watch the cutting of the original block of wood. The limited edition Raro is a singular masterpiece, complete with an elegant diamond solitaire.
