Here is what the description says:

Wide steps and handlebars allow confident control as your own hopping motion lifts the hydrofoils to skim quickly across a lake; the aquaskipper also provides a brisk cardiovascular workout. Virtually maintenance-free, it has no moving parts or noisy engines that require fuel.

Well I would probably never buy one of these for the fact that I really like my little john boat. :-) It doesn't look very easy to fish off that thing.
I suppose people who are into fitness would buy one. It looks like a fun way to stay healthy.

It’s a light weight contraption that you have to hop up and down on in order to propel forwards, think of it as a pogo stick for the water. It has a estimated top speed of 17 mph so you’ll easily be able to bounce past swimmers and rowing boats, just imagine the speed Tigger would be able to go.
