The Alternative Consumer is a cool site; it's a lifestyle thing. They "present cutting-edge design, Progressivelinks initiatives and wise alternatives that stimulate a positive impact on the environment - one purchase at a time - alternativeconsumer.com is essential reading for busy folks looking to cultivate a greener lifestyle."

It's an excellent place where you can find cool things that help on preserving our world. For example, the Eco friendly & Eco chic shopping bag guide shows how to switch from plastic bags to reusable bags, and offer some pretty alternatives; like the ones you see in the photo above.

Sometimes their "Eco talk" gets a little exaggerated, but the site is still a valuable resource. Don't be scared, check it out. I'm sure that there's something you can do to help saving the Earth! ;)
