Shopautoweek.com has released a list of 7 hybrid cars that truly help owners save some money on gas. The list which coincides with the Earth Day has been released when the average national price for a gallon of gas is near $4 and many owners are looking to go green.

Angie Fisher, associate editor at the site states that there are several hybrid cars which have been released for 2012 and which boast of good fuel economy. The list includes cars which provide an economy of 40 miles per gallon which sums up to fuel costs of under $1,500 for a year. The Toyota Prius family is well known and the new series of cars includes the hatchback, a larger Prius V wagon, a Prius plug in and a subcompact Prius C. They give an impressive 50 mpg while the Honda Civic hybrid boasts of 44 mpg which adds up to $1,350 in annual fuel costs. The Civic is an extremely stylish sedan which also gives a fun filled experience to the driver.

The top three in the list of hybrid cars is completed by the Lexus CT 200h which gives a fuel economy of 42 mpg. This car is based on the Toyota Prius and Lexus used the design to improve the ride handling. This has resulted in a performance oriented hybrid which is also stylish amongst the other hybrids. Car buyers should definitely go over the list to see their compatibility with the models so that they can save some money on fuel costs.

Sue Hostetler, editor-in-chief of Art Basel Magazine, donned a short Lisa Perry dress with a Roy Lichtenstein motif from Perry's New York fashion boutique. Clarke said I'm a global cowgirl," after wearing a cowboy attire to show off her fashion in the Miami Beach convention centre.
